The gold prices rose again on Sunday, a day after it had increased.

As a result, gold of 22-carat rose by Tk 735 to Tk 1,10,948 per bhori (11.664 grams).

Besides, 21-carat went up by Tk 699 to Tk 1,05,897, 18-carat by Tk 595 to Tk 90,769, and gold of traditional method by Tk 501 to Tk 75,489 respectively.

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association's (BAJUS) standing committee on pricing and price monitoring decided to hike the prices in a meeting on Sunday following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market, a press release said.

The new prices will come into effect from Monday (May 6).

Earlier on Saturday, BAJUS hiked the gold prices by Tk 1050 to Tk 1,10,213 per bhori after reducing it in eight phases.
