BB to announce new monetary policy on Tuesday

Bangladesh Bank (BB) is scheduled to unveil the new Monetary Policy Statement (MPS) for the current 2016-17 financial year (FY16) on Tuesday, aiming to boost up invest in non-governmental sectors, achieve targeted growth and to keep inflation at a comfortable level.

BB Governor Fazle Kabir will announce the half yearly MPS at the central bank headquarters on Tuesday.

Subhankar Saha, Executive Director and spoke person of Bangladesh Bank confirmed the incident to Jagonews24.com on Monday.

It will be the first MPS by newly appointing Fazle Kabir where BB ex-Governor Atiur Rahman declared the first half yearly MPS for 2015-16 on January 14.
