Gold prices rise by Tk 1750 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association has decided to raise the prices of gold by Tk 1,750 per bhori following an increase in prices of pure gold in the local market.

The new prices will come into effect from Friday (November 18).

BAJUS's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring took the decision in a meeting on Thursday, a press release said.

Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 84,214 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat Tk 80,365, 18-carat Tk 68,934, and gold of traditional method Tk 56,687 respectively.  

Earlier on November 13, the jeweller’s association hiked the gold prices by Tk 2,333 per bhori to Tk 82,464.
