Consumer rights agency raids Dr Jahangir Kabir's chamber

Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection raided the chamber of lifestyle modifier Dr Jahangir Kabir in capital Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.

The consumer rights agency's Dhaka district office chief Md Abdul Jabber Mondal was present during the drive.

The directorate said there is an allegation against Jahangir Kabir of selling unauthorized drugs and he could not show documents of importing different organic foods being sold at his chamber.

Besides, labels of various products, including ghee, there did not contain manufacturing and expiring dates, it said.

He was summoned to attend DNCRP on Thursday to show necessary papers, the agency added.
