Gold prices raised by Tk 1341 per bhori
The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) raised the prices of gold by Tk 1,341 per bhori (11.664 grams) in Bangladesh following a rise in local market prices.
The association's standing committee on pricing and price monitoring took the decision in a meeting on Tuesday.
Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 78,557 per bhori, 21-carat Tk 75,000, and 18-carat Tk 64,560.
BAJUS, however, did not give any information about the gold of the traditional method. As a result, its prices remain at 52,721 per bhori.
The new prices will come into effect from Wednesday.
Earlier on July 17, BAJUS decreased the prices of gold by Tk 1,166 to 77,216 following a decline in international market prices.
