Dhaka trade fair to continue following health rules
The Ministry of Commerce has decided to continue the Dhaka International Trade Fair 2022 following the health guidelines amid the newly imposed coronavirus restrictions.
Additional Secretary (export) of the ministry Md Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter to Jago News on Tuesday afternoon.
He said, "We have seen in the light of restrictions, there is no problem to continue the activities of the trade fair as per the instructions."
But strict health rules would be followed in the fair complying with the fresh curbs, the official added.
The Dhaka International Trade Fair 2022 started on January 1 at Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in the capital's Purbachal area.
Meanwhile, the government on Monday imposed fresh restrictions across the country from January 13 in a bid to prevent further spreading of coronavirus, including its new variant Omicron.
