Remittance inflow hits $191cr in March

The expatriate Bangladeshis sent remittance of record $191 crore in month of March of the current fiscal year 2020-21 amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The amount is 35.10 per cent higher than that of the same period of the FY 2019-20 when the country received $127 crore remittance, Bangladesh Bank said in its updated report on Thursday.

The country's prominent people saw the record number of remittance inflow amid the coronavirus pandemic as a positive sign, reasoning the government's cash incentives in this regard.
