Two garments of Deshbandhu Group start journey

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has opened two garment factories - Southeast Sweaters, and GM Apparels - of Deshbandhu Group, a leading conglomerate in the country.

Presided over by the group managing director (MD) Golam Rahman, the opening ceremony was held at Uttarkhan in the capital on Wednesday.

In his speech as a chief guest, Minister Tipu has given special thanks to Deshbandhu Group for continuing its production and export process following the health guidelines since the start of coronavirus outbreak.

He said, "Like Deshbandhu Group, all will have to advance to save the country and its economy."

The group Chairman Golam Mostafa, Dhaka-18 lawmaker Mohammad Habib Hasan, First Security Islami Bank Ltd deputy managing director (DMD) Masudur Rahman Shah, and Uttara Finance and Investment Ltd MD SM Shamsul Arefin, among others, spoke in the programme.
