Dhaka Trade Fair 2021 won't be held in March
The 26th edition of Dhaka International Trade Fair will not be held in March this year as the Prime Minister had not given approval to this end.
Several officials of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) confirmed this to Jago News on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Commerce Secretary Dr Md Zafar Uddin today said, "For the time being, it's not being held or there is much possibility of not being held. Now I can only say this. Tomorrow I can say in details."
For the last 25 years, Dhaka International Trade Fair has been held at the capital's Agargaon starting from the first week of January to the first week of February every year.
But this year the organizer, EPB, has fixed March 17 to inaugarate the fair due to the coronavirus pandemic which was originally scheduled for January 1.
