Foodpanda evades Tk 3.50cr VAT

Foodpanda, a mobile food delivery marketplace, has evaded around Tk 3.40 crore Value Added Tax (VAT), alleges the VAT Audit, Intelligence and Investigation Directorate of the National Board of Revenue.
A 15-member team of VAT intelligence officials conducted a drive at Foodpanda's Gulshan-2 office on October and found evidences of evading VAT against the company, director general of the directorate Dr Moinul Khan said on Wednesday.
Today, however, a case was filed against Foodpanda in this connection, Dr Moinul added.
