Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) of the central bank has directed the banks concerned to freeze accounts of Evaly, its two top officials after allegations of cheating surfaced against the e-commerce platform.

The two officials are Evaly chairman Shamima Nasrin and managing director Md Rassel.

BFIU on Thursday wrote to all banks to take necessary action in this regard, sources in the Bangladesh Bank intelligence unit confirmed.

BFIU has asked the banks to freeze the accounts for the next 30 days.

Though fewer customers are being beneficiary by these offers but most are being cheated.
