Import-export thru' Burimari land port resumes

Import-export activities through Burimari land port, Lalmonirhat restarted on Wednesday morning after around two and a half month closure due to coronavirus.   

Earlier on Monday businesses of the two countries held a discussion at zero line of Burimari Integrated Check Post (ICP) and decided to begin trade through the port from June 10. 

Vising the land port, this correspondent saw normalcy came back there and all started works following the health guidelines issued to limit the spread of coronavirus. 

Burimari Land Port Importers-Exporters Association president Md Ruhul Amin said import-export operations through the port resumed following health guidelines properly.

Earlier on March 26, Burimari land port authorities announced closure of its operation in line with government declaration of general holidays from the same day to stem the outbreak.
