Hot spice prices reduced by 10-25pc

Bangladesh Spices Traders' Association, a platform of spice wholesalers, has announced reduction in the prices of hot spices by 10-15 percent.

It made the announcement following a meeting with Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi on Wednesday, a press release said.

In the meeting, they agreed to keep the prices of hot spices like other daily essentials stable ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr.

After the discussion, the organization disclosed price list of the items.

Prices of cumin (Indian) was fixed at Tk 300-340 per kg, cinnamon (China) Tk 310-330 a kg, cinnamon (Vietnam) Tk 350-370 a kg, cloves Tk 680-720 a kg, cardamom Tk 2800-3200 a kg, and black pepper 360-380.
