DSE elects Shahzahan, Shakil its directors

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has elected Mohammad Shahzahan and Shakil Rizvi as its shareholder directors.
Zahan Securities Ltd managing director Shahzahan bagged over 86 crore votes and Shakil Rizvi Stock Ltd managing director Shakil earned over 82 crore.
Defeated candidate Mohammad Shamim Afzal, chief executive officer of DESA Securities Ltd, got 15 crore.
Voting in elections to the country's premier bourse began at 10am and ended at 3:30pm on Sunday. The election was held at DSE Old building in city's Motijheel.
In today's polls, 178 among 259 legitimate voters cast their votes. Their votes are determined by share numbers. Thus votes of 259 stand 117,24,54000.
