Tipu Munshi urges Canadian entrepreneurs to invest in SEZs
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has called upon the Canadian entrepreneurs to invest in the country’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs), BSS reported.
“Bangladesh is establishing 100 SEZs across the country. The government is providing all sorts of supports to the investors in the country,” he said while speaking at the ‘Canada-Bangladesh Business Forum 2019’ at Toronto in Canada on Tuesday, said a press release here on Wednesday.
Bangladesh Consulate General at Toronto and Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) jointly organised the business forum.
Tipu Munshi hoped that the trade and commerce relations between Canada and Bangladesh will go to a newer height through the business forum.
“Through the forum, the relations among the business communities of Canada and Bangladesh will increase further. They can exchange their information,” he said.
Among others, Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Md Mosharraf Hossain, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Paban Chowhdury and Bangladesh High Commissioner in Canada Mizanur Rahman, among others, attended the function.
