EBL to provide virtual credit cards to Haltrip’s agents
Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) will be providing virtual credit card services to the agents of Haltrip, an online travel agency, says a press release.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday, an agreement was recently signed between Haltrip and EBL on the issue.
As per the agreement, any agent of Haltrip will get up to Tk10 lakh credit facilities under EBL Diners Club credit card rules, free of any security. Apart from this, there is an opportunity to get Tk25 lakh credit but with security.
Agents can only book and collect air tickets from Haltrip with a virtual credit card.
According to the contract, customers will get the opportunity to repay the money within 15 to 45 days.
Regarding this matter, Haltrip Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tajbir Hasan said: "About 5,000 agents of Haltrip will get the opportunity to use virtual credit cards.
"Small businessmen will be benefited the most by this union, whereas the new entrepreneurs will be able to establish their business using this as a great opportunity.”
Through the Haltrip website, any entrepreneur can register with their trade license and required documents.
After getting their approval, the entrepreneurs will be able to offer tickets and hotel booking services to travelers through this website.
