Info on PRAN products’ licences not right

The information that Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) revoked licences of a few products of PRAN Group, is not true as it never happened and purposively disseminated by Jamuna TV.

In a press release, Kamruzzaman Kamal, Director (Marketing) of PRAN-RFL Group said that on September 25 last, Jamuna TV on its ‘360°’ programme broadcasted that BSTI revoked licences of eight products of PRAN Group.  The products are- PRAN Toast Biscuit, Chanachur, Mango Bar, Rice, Jhal Muri, Puffed Rice, Puffed Rice Laddu, Potato Crackers and Mustered Oil.

Again, the ‘360°’ show claimed that the products are being marketed after taking licences, he said.

Later, the video of the programme surfaced on the social media, he added.

Kamal claimed that Jamuna TV purposively disseminated the information on PRAN products to distract people. In reality, the issue of revoking licenses is completely incoherent as there never happened such affairs with the products.

PRAN has valid licence of each product which require to have BSTI standard certificate. So there is no room to be confused over the matter.

At the same time, he urged dealers, buyers, consumers and well-wishers not to be perplexed by purposive and intentional report.
