PRAN-RFL Chairman Ahsan Khan gets CIP card
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PRAN-RFL Group Ahsan Khan Chowdhury got Commercially Important Person (CIP) card.
Fifty-six industrial entrepreneurs on Thursday got the cards as recognition to their significant contributions to country’s overall economy.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu handed over the ‘Commercially Important Person (industries)-2016’ cards at a function at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.
Out of the 56 entrepreneurs, 48 received the status for their outstanding performances in five categories while eight got the status under the ex-officio category.
Among the 48 businessmen, 25 received CIP cards for large industries while 15 for medium industries, one for micro industry and one for cottage industry.
The recipients of CIP cards will enjoy different government-offered facilities for next one years starting from Sunday.
The CIP cards would be regarded as entry cards to visit Bangladesh Secretariat. The card holder will get invitations to different national functions and civil receptions organized by city corporations. Other facilities include cabin facilities at hospitals for treatment and VIP lounge facility at airports.
Presided over by Acting Secretary of Industry Ministry Md. Abdul Halim, the function was also addressed by Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Shafiul Islam as a chief guest.
