FBCCI for making hajj management disciplined
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) today the authorities concerned to make the country’s hajj management more disciplined so that hajjis (pilgrims) can perform their hajj smoothly, BSS reported.
FBCCI came up with the call at its standing committee meeting on the Religious Affairs Ministry held at FBCCI conference room in the city, a press release said.
The participants of the meeting underscored the need for introducing more flights and reducing air fare for hajj pilgrims.
They lauded the role of the present government in ensuring the peaceful cohabitation of all religions in the country.
They said the places of pilgrimage, including the country’s historic mosques and temples, can be important destinations for tourists.
The meeting emphasised on development of these pilgrimages as the government has taken projects to build model mosques and temples in different districts.
Director in-charge of the committee M Masudur Rahman Milon presented the detailed future plan of the committee.
Chairman of the standing committee presided over the meeting where Alhaj Abdus Salam and assistant secretary of Religious Affairs Ministry M Ziauddin Bhuiyan were, among others, present.
