Banglalink signs agreement with Summit Communication

Banglalimk has signed an infrastructure sharing agreement with Summit Communications Ltd (SCL).The agreement signing ceremony was held at Tigers Den recently.

In the agreement, Summit Communications Ltd (SCL) will lease fiber capacity to Banglalink in certain route and in exchange Banglalink will also lease fiber capacity to SCL in different route.

Thus for the first time both Banglalink and SCL will have a fiber leasing partnership in specific fiber routes.

This will benefit both the parties in terms of having strong fiber network–Banglalink will be able to have network redundancy in certain areas to offer better network availability for Banglalink subscribers and SCL will be able to offer more transmission bandwidth to other telecom operators using Banglalink fiber in one specific route.

Erik Aas, Banglalink’s Managing Director &CEO, Md. Arif Al Islam, Summit Communications Ltd.’s Managing Director & CEO and other relevant stakeholders of both the parties were Present at the Signing ceremony.  

Banglalink’s MD &CEO said ‘It is the Digital Age and we believe that this sort of Strategic partnership will help us to be more competitive and agile and hence better serve the end users.’

He added that, ‘This arrangement will benefit both Banglalink and Summit Communications Ltd.’
