PRAN signs $2m export deal with Netherlands

PRAN, one of the largest companies in Bangladesh, has signed an agreement with Engel Foreign Food Group of Netherlands to export US$ 2 million worth of products to the country.

PRAN Managing Director Eleash Mridha and Wim Engel, CEO of Engel Foreign Food Group put pen on the one-year deal at PRAN-RFL Center on Wednesday.

Under the deal, PRAN will export its noodles, juice and confectionery items to the European country.

Eleash Mridha said the demand of PRAN’s products is gradually increasing in the European countries. PRAN exports its products to different European countries including Netherlands, France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and UK regularly.

Wim Engel said “PRAN is a popular company in Bangladesh. The company has also good image in many parts of the world. I hope PRAN products will get more popularity in the Netherlands.”

Golam Rasul, Assistant General Manager (Export) and Mahmudul Hasan, Assistant Manager (Export) of PRAN, among others, were present at the signing ceremony.

Now, PRAN exports its products to 134 countries. The Group has exported $184 million worth of products in fiscal 2015-16.
