Int’l plastic fair in Dhaka from Feb 15

The four-day 12th International Plastic Fair-2017 (IPF-17) begins here on February 15 to display latest technology, machinery, colors and additive s for the plastics industry under a single roof.

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will inaugurate the fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), said Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) president M Jahsim Uddin at a press conference at its headquarters in the city.

State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan, Awami League President’s adviser on private sector development Salman F Rahman and Executive Director (Overseas) of Chan Chan Int’l Co Ltd Judy Wang will also attend the inaugural session.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid will attend as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony on February 18. BPGMEA is organising the mega event while Chan Chan Int’l Co Ltd is the co-organiser.

BPGMEA president M Jashim Uddin said there will be over450 stalls in the IPF-17 which will display a wide range of plastic goods and machineries, including plastic household items, packaging materials, plastic mould, toys, pharmaceuticals items, furniture, melamine, garment accessories and PP woven bags.

A total of fourteen countries including Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, Vietnam and UAE are taking part in the show.
