Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman and chief executive officer of PRAN-RFL Group, has been nominated as ‘Commercially Important Person’ for the year 2015 for his contribution to job creation and economic growth of the country.

He was nominated as CIP as per the government’s CIP (Industry) Policy 2014, ministry of industry sources said.

According to CIP policy, the CIP (Industry) cards will be considered as entry passes in the secretariat. The cardholders will be invited to national programmes as well as to civic receptions hosted by city corporations.

Besides, the CIPs will enjoy preference when it comes to booking seats in public transports for business tours.
The foreign ministry will send letters of introduction to embassies and high commissions in Dhaka so that the CIP could easily get visas.

They will also be able to enjoy the facilities of VIP Lounge-2 at airports during their travel.

Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, 46, joined his father’s business in 1992 after completion of his studies from the USA. He is also a caring father of two children.

Amjad Khan Chowdhury founded the group in 1981. The visionary person Amjad Khan was the CEO of PRAN RFL Group until his death.

Major General Amjad Khan Chowdhury (retd) breathed his last on July 8 in 2015.
