55 RMG factories closed in Ashulia
Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has closed 55 ready-made garment (RMG) factories in Ashulia of Savar for indefinite period as the workers of the factories went on strike.
The association made the announcement at a press conference at BGMEA office in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The workers have been demonstrating for nine days demanding higher minimum wage and job security.
