Bangladesh-Myanmar to develop economic relation
Bangladesh and Myanmar will help one another to develop economic relation between the countries.
The delegations from two sides have been agreed to boost investment in different sectors at the 8th meeting of Bangladesh-Myanmar joint commission at a hotel in the capital on Wednesday.
Senior Secretary of Trade Ministry Hedayetullah Al Mamun led Bangladesh delegation while Deputy Minister for Trade Ministry of Myanmar led the country’s delegation.
The amount of bilateral trade between the countries is around 10 crore US dollar. To increase bilateral trade to 50 crore dollar, an agreement was signed at the 7th joint trade commission meeting held in Nepido, the capital city of Myanmar, on January 14 and 15 in 2014.
A long dialogue was held to continue the progress at Wednesday’s meeting. The governments of the countries will set possible strategy and policy, sources said.
