A suspected snatcher named Sagor was beaten to death in mob attack in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on Tuesday morning.Police detained two snatchers named Hazrat and Bashar. Hazrat injured by police firing, was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Bashar was brought to Shahbagh police station.Abu Bakar, Officer-in-charge of Shaghbagh police station, said a group of snatcher was taking preparation to commit snatching in the area. On information, police chased them to as they escaped to Dhanmondi-3.At one stage, local people managed to catch one of the snatchers and gave him a tremendous trashing, leaving Sagar dead.Police also recovered sharp weapons from their possession.
