Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) termed ‘highest alert’ on the Benapole border in Jessore on Tuesday for an indefinite period so that the terrorists and criminals involved in the recent killing of two foreigners in capital Dhaka and Rangpur district.The BGB imposed the restriction in the morning on the movement of foreigners in the frontier area of Benapole, asking its members to keep vigil in this regard, said commanding officer of Jessore BGB 26-battalion Lt Col Jahangir Hossain.Officer-in-charge of Benapole immigration check-post Momin Uddin said the red alert was enforced in the border area following the killing of an Italian citizen in the capital’s Gulshan area on September 28 and a Japanese national in Rangpur on October 3.
