The 12th death anniversary of Ivy Rahman, former women’s affairs secretary of Awami League and wife of late president Zillur Rahman, will be observed on Wednesday.To mark the day, different political and socio-cultural organisations, including Bangladesh Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies, as well as other likeminded organisations have drawn up elaborate programmes.They will also attend the milad mahfil and munajat at Banani graveyard. A milad and doa mahfil will also be held at her residence at House-22, Road-108, Gulshan-2 in the capital after Asr prayer.Family members of the deceased requested party leaders and well-wishers to participate in milad and doa mahfil. AL general secretary and public administration minister Syed Ashraful Islam urged party men and well-wishers to participate in programmes at Banani graveyard in time.
