Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar is going beyond his call of duty to do something worthwhile post his retirement.
According to reports, the Indian star has adopted a village in a district which is reeling under severe drought over the last few years.
The reports said Tendulkar has adopted Donja village in Osmanabad district for development. This comes under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna.This rural development programme was launched in 2014. It focused on the socio and cultural development of villages.Sachin has been known for taking up causes dear to him. He is also India’s Goodwill Ambassaddor for Rio Games.He spoke in support of Indian athletes when they were criticised for their failures to win medals.
