Bangladeshi national shot to wound by BSF

A Bangladeshi national was shot to wound by Border Security Force (BSF) of India at Loraighat border area in Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district on Monday night.

The injured is Abdul Hakim, a reportedly cow smuggler and son of Nurul Amin Sardar of Loraighat village.

Lt. Colonel Tajul Islam, Commanding Officer of BGB-58 said a group of Bangladeshi entered into Indian territory without valid documents to bring cow on Monday night.

During their journey, a team of BSF of Fotepur BSF Camp intercepted them and opened fire on them, leaving Abdul Hakim injured by bullet.

Later, his associated brought him back to Bangladesh territory.

However, he was taken to Jessore Gereal Hospital on Tuesday morning.
