5 injured in BCL infighting during Mourning Day meeting

At least five activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were injured in a clash between two groups of BCL during National Mourning Day meeting at Janani Bus Terminal in Ramganj upazila of Lakshmipur district on Monday.

Officer-in charge of Ramganj Police Station Tota Mia said two groups of BCL, one led by upazila president Kamrul Faisal Mal and other led by Mehedi Hasan Shuvo, secretary of upazila unit, engaged into a clash over establishing supremacy at the area during National Mourning Day meeting at the area in the noon, leaving Nazim Uddin, secretary of Ramganj Government College, Shuvo, Farul and two others injured.

Injured were taken to local hospitals.

Additional police men were deployed at the area to avoid awkward situation, added the OC.
