A dacoit was killed in an alleged gunfight with police at Dudsar area of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah early Sunday.Apart from two police members were also injured in this incident.
Additional Police Superintendent Sheikh Azbahar Ali told Jagonews24.com, a gang of dacoits were taking preparation to commit robbery keeping the tree on the road. Being informed, a team of police rushed to the spot. Sensing presence of them, dacoits opened fire on them. In reply police also fired and one dacoit was killed and remaining others were managed to flee away.Police recovered a shutter gun, two round bullets, five hand bombs, five machetes and one saw from the spot, he added.
