The Bangladesh Public Service Commission, PSC, has published a schedule to resume the postponed viva voce of the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service, BCS, exams.
Out of the total 5,862 candidates who passed the written tests, the viva voce of 1,890 will take place from January 5 to February 5 in the first phase, a PSC notice said on Tuesday night, December 24.
The first phase viva will be held at the PSC head office in Dhaka’s Agargaon.
Schedule of the remaining candidates will be notified later.
Earlier on July 21, the PSC postponed the viva voce of the 44th BCS, which began on May 8, amid the violence centring the quota reform movement, and on July 7, the commission suspended rest tests for an indefinite period.
In a meeting on November 18, the constitutional body also scrapped the oral exam of 3,930 candidates who sit for it till the date, saying all the 11,732 candidates who passed the written exam of 44th BCS will be called for the viva voce again.
