BNP office reopens in Gopalganj after 17 years

After 17 years, the BNP office in Gopalganj has been reopened. Three new offices were inaugurated in the district, including one located on the second floor of the Municipal Market in the district town. 

The inauguration ceremony took place on Sunday (December 22) afternoon.

BNP Central Committee Co-Organizing Secretary Selimuzzaman Selim and Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani joined the event virtually as chief guests.

Selimuzzaman Selim remarked, “Many hybrid leaders have surfaced in Gopalganj after August 5. They were absent during challenging times but are now making their presence known. Some are even claiming district leadership by setting up personal offices. I want to clarify that the office inaugurated today is the official district BNP office. All political activities for the district will be conducted from here.”

Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani emphasized unity, stating, “This district office is the hub for all political activities. It is essential for everyone to come together and focus on organizing BNP effectively.”

Abul Khair, District Judge Court PP and President of the District Nationalist Lawyers Forum, Riaz Uddin Lipton, District Juba Dal Convener, Mikail Hossain, District Chhatra Dal President, Saiful Islam, District Chhatra Dal General Secretary, and Sujan Sikder, Former Joint General Secretary of District Juba Dal, along with leaders and activists from the district and upazila BNP, and affiliated organisations, were also present at the event.
