The interim government has transferred the head of the Special Branch (SB) of the Bangladesh Police, AIG Khandakar Rafiqul Islam, and appointed him as the new chief of the Anti Terrorism Unit.
The decision comes a month and 23 days after he assumed the position.
Besides, three other officials have been transferred to different posts. They are Md Golam Rasul, deputy inspector general (DIG) of Dhaka Police Staff College, Md Israil Hawlader, DIG of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, DMP, and Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, superintendent of Tourist Police.
The Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday, December 18.
