The first cold wave of this winter season began on Friday. Initially affecting three districts, it has now expanded to four districts.
The Meteorological Department shared this information in its regular weather forecast on Saturday (December 14).
According to the forecast, a mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Panchagarh, Rajshahi, Jashore, and Chuadanga, and it may persist. Nighttime temperatures across the country may drop slightly, while daytime temperatures are expected to rise marginally. Moderate to dense fog may occur in parts of the country from midnight to noon over the next few days.
Meteorologist Tariful Newaz Kabir stated that daytime temperatures may rise slightly over the next two days starting Sunday. However, moderate to dense fog may occur in some parts of the country during this period from midnight to noon.
On Saturday, Chuadanga recorded the lowest temperature in the country at 8.7 degrees Celsius. In the morning, Dhaka's temperature was recorded at 16 degrees Celsius.
