A van driver was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Birganj of Dinajpur in the early hours of Saturday.The deceased is Md. Shariful Islam, 28, son of Md. Mofazzol Hosen, of village Kalapukur of the upazila.Slain Shariful’s father Mofazzol said, Shariful went out with a battery-run rickshaw van but he didn’t back home. Sub Inspector of Birganj Police Station Md. Azom Hosen told Jagonews24.com that, locals spotted a dead body on Boleya-Singra Shalbon road at Bhognagar union of the upazila. Being informed, a team of police rushed to the spot and brought it to police station.Later relatives of Shariful identified his dead body, he added.
