A Dhaka court on Monday showed Kaushik Hossain Taposh arrested in a case lodged for allegedly grabbing private Gaan Bangla television.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman passed the order, allowing a plea of the police, reports BSS.
Sub-inspector (SI) Harunur Rashid of Gulshan Police Station on December 4 pleaded to show Taposh arrested in the case. The court on that day had set today to hold a hearing in the matter.
One Syed Shams Uddin filed the case against five including Taposh and his wife Farzana Munni for grabbing the ownership of the music-based channel by threatening on gun-point. Another four unnamed persons were implicated in the case.
Taposh was arrested from the capital's Uttara area on November 4.
