Former public servant Akhtar Hossain has been appointed as the senior secretary of Election Commission, EC.
He was appointed for two years on contractual basis, said a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday, December 5.
He replaces Shafiul Azim who was made an Officer on Special Duty, OSD.
