Lawyers in Chattogram are observing work abstention for the second consecutive day on Thursday protesting against the killing of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif.
All activities in courts of the district remain suspended today due to the programme.
CDBA president Mohammad Nazim Uddin Chowdhury said, “ISKCON terrorists brutally hacked our colleague to death. Protesting this, work abstention is going on for the second day today.”
Besides, the district bar association will bring out demonstration procession and form human chain on court premises, he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, the CDBA decided to observe work abstention today.
On Tuesday (November 26), lawyer Saiful Islam Alif was killed in an attack allegedly by the supporters of former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari on the road in front of the Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
