BCS question leak: 2 BG Press employees held

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police have arrested two employees of Bangladesh Government Press (BG Press) for their alleged involvement in question paper leak in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations.

The arrestees are Md Majnu Mia, 59, and Md Akram Hossain, 47. They are BG Press’s pooter and bounder respectively.

Azad Rahman, special superintendent of police (media) of CID, confirmed the arrests on Wednesday evening.

On July 7, a private television channel in a report revealed that the question papers of a few recruitment tests, including BCS, under the PSC were leaked.

Following the broadcast, a case was lodged against 17 people with the Paltan police station on July 8 in this connection.

On July 8, the CID arrested the 17 accused, including former PSC chairman’s driver Syed Abed Ali.

However, the probe body formed by the PSC said it did not find any evidence of question paper leak in a few recruitment tests, including BCS, held under the commission.
