2 Jamaat leaders held with crude bombs in Sirajganj

Police in a drive arrested two Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami leaders with five crude bombs and some religious texts from Ichhamoti village in Sirajganj Sadar upazila on Friday morning.The arrested are Moidul Alam, in his sixties, son of the late Abdus Sobahan, a resident of Itali Purbapara village, and Abdus Salam, in his fifties, son of the late Omed Ali, resident of Jagatgati village at Sadar upazila.Abdul Barik, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station, said informed about a secret meeting, a team of police conducted the drive at the village in the morning and arrested the duo while their associates managed to flee away.Police also recovered crude bombs and jihadi books from the meeting.Later, the arrestees were sent to jail by a court.
