ICC chief prosecutor to visit Dhaka on Nov 25

International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor Karim AA Khan is set to visit Dhaka for a four-day trip from November 25 to 28, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Md Toufique Hasan.  

During his visit, Karim AA Khan will hold meetings with the Chief Adviser and the Foreign Secretary. 

He will also visit the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar to observe the ongoing situation and assess matters related to justice and accountability for the displaced community.  

The spokesperson added that the process of finalising the ‘Witness Protection Protocol’ proposed by the ICC Office of the Prosecutor is underway. 

Feedback from various ministries and agencies has been sought to finalize the protocol, highlighting Bangladesh's commitment to cooperating with the ICC.
