Nine more dengue patients died and 1,214 were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, a total of 84,368 dengue cases and 436 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease were reported from January 1 to November 21 this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Thursday.
Of the dead, 50.70 per cent were women and 49.30 per cent men, according to the release.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 deaths from the disease which was the highest fatality in a year.
Besides, 3,21,179 dengue cases were reported in the same year.
