The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has decided to cancel the oral (viva) exam of the 44th BCS, reevaluate the written exam papers of the 45th BCS by a third examiner, and republish the preliminary results of the 46th BCS examinations.
The decisions were taken on Monday in a meeting of the commission to maintain transparency, fairness and impartiality in the examinations, said a PSC press release.
Cancelling the viva of 3,930 candidates of 44th BCS examination held earlier, PSC said, “All the 11,732 candidates who passed the written exam of 44th BCS will be called for oral exam (viva) again.”
In addition, the BPSC has decided that the answer sheets for the 45th BCS written exam will be reevaluated by a third examiner to ensure transparency and fairness.
For the 46th BCS, the PSC has decided to announce new results of the preliminary exam, allowing an equal number of candidates to pass alongside the existing 10,638 successful candidates.
Earlier, the oral exam for the 44th BCS was suspended in July due to the quota reform movement.
