Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul has said that assistance from the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) is being taken to repatriate fugitives, including Sheikh Hasina, from abroad.
He made these remarks on Sunday (November 10) after inspecting the renovation work of the main building of the International Crimes Tribunal.
Nazrul emphasised that any attempts to destabilize Bangladesh would be thwarted. He also stated that the interim government is unconcerned about the baseless allegations made by the Awami League against it. After inspecting the tribunal's main building, which is undergoing renovations, Nazrul announced that the trial for the July killings is set to begin next week.
Meanwhile, Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam said that investigations into the July-August killings are progressing at the individual level. He also noted that the tribunal will begin trials against the Awami League as a political party after receiving the government's decision.
Other prosecutors were also present during the visit.
