The two-day event titled "Centennial Celebration of Bose-Einstein Statistics: A Legacy of Dhaka" was inaugurated on Thursday.
Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, attended as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, held at an auditorium in Dhaka.
The event was organized by the Department of Physics at Dhaka University and the Bose Center for Advanced Study and Research in Natural Sciences.
Among others, Education Adviser Professor Wahiduddin Mahmud, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, and former Professor Partha Ghosh from SNBNSCBS in Kolkata delivered speeches at the event.
