The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has raised the price of 22 carat gold by Tk 1,575 to Tk 1,43,526 per bhori, the highest rise in the country's history till Wednesday (October 30).
Besides, 21-carat gold was hiked by Tk 1,504 to 1,37,005 a bhori (11.664 grams), 18-carat by Tk 1,295 to Tk 1,17,433, and gold of traditional method by Tk 1,097 to Tk 96,520 respectively, BAJUS said in a statement today.
The association said it hiked the price following an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.
The new prices will come into effect from Thursday (October 31).
