Bangladesh on Sunday strongly condemned the recent Israeli military strikes on Iran, describing the attacks as a grave violation of Iran’s sovereignty and a breach of the United Nations Charter and international law.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh called on regional and global stakeholders to use their influence to promote restraint and prevent further escalation. "Such provocations threaten to destabilize an already fragile region, with far-reaching consequences for both regional and global peace and security," the statement read.
Bangladesh emphasized that adherence to international norms, dialogue, and respect for sovereignty are essential to maintaining stability in the Middle East and beyond. The country urged the international community to work collectively toward a stable Middle East, highlighting diplomacy and mutual respect as the only viable path to enduring peace.
