Jamaat forms its Hindu wing committee in Rangpur

The Pirgachha branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Rangpur has announced committee of its Hindu wing, naming Bhabesh Chandra Burman as president and Bijan Chandra Das as general secretary.

Bhabesh Chandra Burman is an assistant professor at Mirzapur Degree College in Pirgachha.

The committee announcement was made by Sadar Union unit Jamaat Amir Abdur Jabbar during a meeting held on Friday (October 25) at the Upazila Jamaat office to discuss issues with the Hindu community. 

Other leaders named include Debi Chaudhurani Degree Colleges’ demonstrator, Tapas Chandra Roy as vice president, Kisamat Jhini as Sudharanjan Burman as president of the Sanatan Sangh, and Prabhas Chandra Burman, an assistant teacher at Deuti School and College, was appointed finance secretary.

Union Jamaat Organising Secretary Hafez Idris Ali moderated the event. 

Rangpur District Jamaat Secretary Maulana Enamul Haque attended as the chief guest, with Upazila Jamaat Amir Maulana Mostak Ahmed, Secretary Mostafizur Rahman, and other Jamaat leaders also present.
